Alumni Spotlight: Barkman transfers seeking opportunity
Fall 2025 — Golden Bear alumni Trey Barkman enters his junior campaign in college baseball. Recently, he has played for the Bobcats of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Due to a coaching change at OU, Barkman chose to transfer to pursue new opportunities on the field. Trey has transferred to Northwestern Oklahoma State University to compete for the Rangers. The business management major hopes to graduate in the spring of 2027 following his final season competing on the NCAA level. After graduation, Trey plans to work alongside his grandfather designing and planning home building at S&S. The right handed pitcher…

Waynedale Golf wins their home match vs Chippewa with a score of 149-157. Waynedale JV defeated Chippewa with a score of 175-194.

Congratulations to Jackson Varner for being selected as the Waynedale Athlete Of The Week for August 25th – 30th. Here are some of his accomplishments from our Cross Country coach Shauna Pittman. Jackson Varner’s Successes: *** He has finished as top medalist in all 4 invites that he has competed in this season. *** He set a new personal record time Saturday at the Northwest Invite earning him a new Waynedale school record. *** He also set a new meet record at the Northwest Invite.
